Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank Limited, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, has distributed educational materials and school bags to the students of Shree Saraswati Primary School in Mechinagar, Jhapa.
Mr. Nirjar Poudel, Branch Manager of the bank’s Itabhatta branch, handed over the materials to 40 students from Nursery to Grade 5 in the presence of the school’s principal, Fulmaya Budhathoki. The materials included school bags, notebooks, pens, pencils, and other necessary educational supplies. Speaking at the event, Principal Budhathoki expressed her belief that the bank’s support would have a positive impact on improving access to education for socially and economically disadvantaged students in the Mechinagar area. She also mentioned that the assistance from the bank would serve as further motivation for students in their studies.
The event was attended by the bank's employees, the principal, teachers, students, and parents of Shree Saraswati Primary School.
The bank has also committed to continuing such literacy programs in the future through coordination and collaboration with stakeholders.
