In celebration of Global Money Week 2025, Kamana Service Development Bank successfully organized various financial literacy programs. Global Money Week, coordinated by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), aims to raise awareness about the importance of financial education among teenagers and young people. This global initiative is observed every year in March. This year's event began on March 17 and concluded on March 23.
In celebration of Global Money Week 2025 (GMW 2025), the bank has conducted various financial literacy programs across all seven provinces with the aim of enhancing financial literacy and developing financial knowledge and skills among students. The programs included financial literacy workshops, morning rallies, and the dissemination of awareness materials through social media. The bank, in collaboration with trainers approved by Nepal Rastra Bank, has successfully provided financial literacy to over 2,500 students in different schools across the country.
The programs covered topics such as how to pool small amounts of money to build capital, how saving can ease daily life, the importance of creating personal budgets and developing spending habits, as well as discussions on various digital transactions, their opportunities, and challenges. Additionally, the bank organized morning rallies at various locations to raise awareness about financial literacy.
Through its social media platforms, the bank provided information on topics such as saving for a secure future, making financial decisions without being influenced by social media and peer pressure, the risks of being blacklisted, the importance of using the internet securely, and the responsible use and management of loans. With these initiatives, the bank successfully concluded Global Money Week 2025.
